How to Grow Muskmelon:

• If growing muskmelon in the garden, prepare the soil by plowing it and bringing it to a fine tilth. Growing muskmelon in raised beds is preferable to the traditional technique because the system enhances soil drainage. To promote deep-rooted, work the beds 16 to 20 cm deep.
• To grow in a pot, fill the pot with potting mix, add fertilizer, and carefully mix. Seeds should be sown one inch deep and evenly spaced. Because the crop cannot withstand dry soil, it must be watered on a regular basis.

Propagation:

Sow the seeds of four muskmelons in a container or pot, planting them about an inch deep and evenly spaced. Using a plastic sheet, cover the top of the container or pot. This helps to preserve moisture and heat in the soil during seed germination.

Climate Requirements:

Muskmelon may be cultivated at a somewhat warmer temperature because it is a summer crop. Because the seed germinates best at temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, it can be planted from November to February. It thrives in temperatures ranging from 25 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Fertilizer Requirement:

During bed preparation, add composted manure to the soil. Add organic fertilizer to the soil for a balanced nutrient profile.

Pest Management:

Aphids, pickle worms, cucumber beetles, and spider mites are examples of common garden peats. Aphids and beetles can be gotten rid of using soap solutions. To keep weeds at bay, use paper or other roll-out mulch.

Water Requirement:

Growing muskmelon in a container or pot necessitates extra water; they cannot tolerate dry clay.

Sunlight:

Muskmelon grows best in direct sunlight. Choose a spot with eight to ten hours of direct sunlight for your muskmelon. The sun is required for the plant’s health and productivity.

Temperature:

The best temperature for growing these plants is between 18 and 30 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, if you supply enough heat and sunlight to the flowers and fruits, they will grow a high sugar content.
